Corbin Public Library ‘Run for Literacy’ 5K set for Saturday

Date:

The Corbin Public Library is hosting its “Run for Literacy” 5K at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The annual event will start and end in front of the library on Laurel Ave.

Registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. The cost is $25.

Diane Mitchell with the Friends of the Corbin Public Library said proceeds from the event would go into the library’s Campaign Fund.

“The Campaign Fund” is used to purchase items not included in the budget,” Mitchell said.

The current goal of the Campaign Fund is to purchase some new furniture for the building.

“Some of our tables are getting kind of rickety,” Mitchell said.

More information about the event is available by contacting the library at 528-6366.
