Looking for something spooky this Halloween season?
If so, come down to the Corbin Public Library Friday and Saturday for the annual Ghost Tour, which will take place from 5 – 8 p.m.
The Ghost Tour, which is free of charge, features costumed guides taking participants on a 20-30 minute walking tour from the library down Depot Street telling interesting stories about Corbin’s past with a few spooky historical facts thrown in for good measure.
In addition to the tour, there will be various things taking place inside the library too.
“Encounter the Ghostbusters, get your face painted, indulge in candy, and create spooky crafts. Challenge yourself with trivia, visit a fortune teller, be entertained by a magician who can even summon balloon animals and enjoy some fall refreshments. Join our ghost tours to uncover local legends and history. Perfect for all ages!” the library wrote in a Facebook post about the event.
Besides the Ghost Tour, there are other Halloween and ghostly things happening at the Corbin Public Library this month.
In the teen area, the library will be showing “Hocus Pocus” on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the library will be showing “Nightmare Before Christmas” at 5 p.m. in the teen area.
At 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 22, toddler time theme will be pumpkin hand painting and on Oct. 29, the toddler time theme will be monsters.
On Friday, Oct. 25, there will be a Harry Potter craft, which is do it yourself wands for ages eight years old and up from 3-4 p.m. Registration is required.

Trick or treat hours at downtown Corbin businesses will be from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31.
Corbin’s residential trick or treating will take place that evening from 6 – 8 p.m.
