Corbin teens charged with setting fire to trash can at Miller Park

Two Corbin teens are facing trespassing and criminal mischief charges for allegedly setting fire to a trash can at Miller Park Friday morning.

Corbin Police Lt. Glenn Taylor arrested 18-year-old Dakota Hicks and 18-year-old Cameron Bledsoe at the park on Barton Mill Road just after 4 a.m.

According to Taylor, the duo had entered the park and set the plastic can on fire just after 3 a.m.

Hicks and Bledsoe each face one count of third-degree criminal mischief and one count of third-degree criminal trespassing.

Hicks and Bledoe were each lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and released about 2:10 p.m.

No court date has been set in the case.
