A Corbin woman has been cited to appear in Laurel District Court after London Police allegedly found 50 packs of synthetic marijuana at Fantasy World in London.
According to London Police Chief Stewart Walker Penny D. Mae, of Corbin, was charged with trafficking and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
Walker said a shipment containing the synthetic marijuana was delivered to the store and officers discovered it and issued the citation.
The Laurel County Fiscal Court was one of several local elected bodies that passed a law outlawing the sale or possession "herbal incense," otherwise known as synthetic marijuana, Under the law, it is a misdemeanor offense, carrying a potential sentence of up to one year in jail and/or a fine of up to $500.
