Crash leads to frantic rescue attempt

Date:

Members of 3-Point Volunteer Fire Department, Whitley County EMS, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department and others labored Tuesday afternoon to extricate Gregory S. Combs, 37, of Williamsburg, from his Caddilac
Deville. Officials say Combs lost control of the vehicle, possibly from suffering a seizure, and flipped it on its side on US 25W near the Kentucky Consular Center. Because of the vehicle’s location it took several minutes to free him from inside. On main page, Sheriff’s Capt. Todd Shelley and firefighter Dorman Patrick use the Jaws of Life to cut the vehicle open.
