Cumberland Arts Collective accepting submission for A Green, Spring Fling event

Artists in the area, both established and aspiring, will be presented with chances to showcase their talents soon thanks to a pair a events being presented by the Cumberland Arts Collective.

The CAC has announced that submissions are being accepted for A Green, Spring Fling, which will be a one-night gallery exhibition located at the brand-new event venue in downtown Corbin, the Pennington.

A Green, Spring Fling is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 28, and, in keeping with the theme, elements of green must be included in all submitted works. Works can be of any medium, and there will be a non-refundable submission fee of $30.

The Cumberland Arts Collective has also announced the schedule for Drink and Draw 2023, with the first meet-up taking place Thursday, Feb. 23, at Scully’s Restaurant in downtown Corbin between the hours of 6-8 p.m.

The CAC encourages those participating in Drink and Draw to “bring your sketchbook, iPad, camera, or medium of choice, as well as a thirst to talk about art.”

Drink and Draw events are open to all ages. Future dates include March 30 at the Corbin Library, and April 27 at Folk Tale Coffee. For more information, contact the CAC at CumberlandArtsCollective@gmail.com. Updates will also be provided on the group’s official Facebook page.
