Cumberland Falls closes restaurant until spring

Date:

In an effort to improve the guest dining experience at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, the park announced its Riverview Restaurant will be closed for kitchen repairs and renovations until mid-spring of 2019.

To supplement closure of the Riverview Restaurant, the park announced the opening of the Moonbow Café, located across from the gift shop at the falls. The café menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers. It is open Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The park lodge will remain open Tuesday afternoon through Sunday as part of its winter schedule and will be closed Sunday and Monday nights through March 3. A continental breakfast is served to lodge and cottage guests Wednesday through Sunday mornings in the lodge.

Cumberland Falls has several special events scheduled this winter, including Genealogy Boot Camp Feb. 1-3, a Valentine Getaway Weekend Feb. 16-17 and the Cumberland Falls Storytelling Weekend March 15-17.

Cumberland Falls State Resort Park offers a lodge, cottages, campground, hiking trails, fishing, rafting, other seasonal recreational activities and a great view of Cumberland Falls. For more information, call 606-528-4121.
