Cumberland River Behavioral Health Inc. Executive Director Melanie Yeager called it a career on July 31.
She first worked for the agency in the summer of 1994 as a part-time secretary. After returning to college in the fall of 1994, she returned to the agency in the summer of 1995 in data entry. She then moved to an accounting clerk’s position. By August 1999, she had advanced to an administrator’s position which she held, along with additional duties as the agency’s Privacy Officer, before a promotion to Chief Financial Officer in 2005. In July 2016, she took on additional duties as Associate Director and, became Executive Director upon Danny Jones’ retirement in 2019.
