Dale Wayne “Catfish” Sulfridge, born on July 25, 1949, in Williamsburg, KY, left us on November 21, 2025. Known affectionately as “Catfish,” he spent his entire life in his native Williamsburg. A dedicated member of Light of The World Church, Dale’s faith was always at the forefront of his life. He found great joy in playing music in church, touching many lives with his talents.
Dale was a retired heavy equipment operator. His work ethic was unparalleled, However, his greatest accomplishment was his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Janet Sulfridge; his daughters, Misty Justice and Christy Sulfridge (Chuck); and his step-children Lillian Canada, Janet Manavati (Nick), and Steve Perry (Krystal). He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Taylor, Timothy, Matthew, Bethany, Ashley, Raymond, Katie, Alexis, Sean, Haleigh, Daniel, and Elliott. His brother, David Sulfridge (Elaine), along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends, mourn his passing.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sara Sulfridge; his daughter, Linda Keever; his first wife, Phyllis; his brothers, Chuck, Joel, Gary, Phillip; and his sisters, Sylvia, Carol, Sharon, and Hope.
Funeral service was Monday, November 24 at Croley Funeral Home.
Dale’s love of faith, music, and family will be remembered and celebrated by all those who knew him.
