Dennis G. Lay, age 81, of Corbin, KY, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born February 1, 1943 in Whitley County, KY, to the late JC and Opal Cox Lay.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis McKeehan Lay of Corbin, KY; daughter, Paige Ashcraft (Matt) of Corbin, KY; son, Derrick Lay of Corbin, KY; one grandchild, Alexandra Ashcraft of Corbin, KY; one sister. Rebecca Steely of Williamsburg, KY, several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
Interment will be in the Bryant Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM until the funeral hour Tuesday, November 12, at the funeral home.
