With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Cathy Darlene Faulkner, affectionately known to many as Bubbles, on November 10, 2024.
Born in Pineville, KY, on March 12, 1953, Cathy spent her life in service to others, most notably as a dedicated Aide at Heritage Health and Rehab.
Cathy’s world revolved around her family and her loving spirit was a beacon for all who knew her. Known for her love of shopping trips with her daughter, and their customary stops at Starbucks, Cathy made even the simplest of activities a joyous event. Cathy was loved by all who knew her and was a light everywhere she went “Our Princess”.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Kelly Strunk (Bo), Lesley Faulkner, and Angela Martin (Steven); her siblings, Betty Hill, Clara Wynn, Linda Gaines, and Johnny Carter; her grandchildren, Erica Messer (David), Tylor Faulkner (Kellie), Sabrina Wilson (Katelyn), Caleb Strunk (Kaylyn), and Brianna Foster; and her great-grandchildren, Conner Messer, Cassie Messer, Jason Woolum, Ellie Strunk, Kadence Paul, Jaxon Troutman, Roman Paul, Amilia Strunk, Easton Adams, Mollie Messer, Jimmy Messer, Maddie Phelps, and Peyton Sulfridge; several nieces and nephews and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Thomas Carter and Minnie Edna (Widner) Carter; and her siblings, Carol Carter, Randall Carter, and Leslie Thomas Carter Jr.
A visitation will be held for Cathy on Saturday, November 16, at 11:00 am at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
A service in her honor will follow at the same location at 1:00 pm with Rev. Sean Disney officiating. Cathy will be laid to rest at Wells Cemetery, Indian Creek Road, Woodbine, Kentucky, at 3:00 pm.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Cathy, let us also rejoice in the delight she brought to our lives. We kindly encourage all who knew and loved Cathy to share their memories and upload photos of her to the memorial page. It is through these shared experiences that Cathy’s spirit will continue to live on.
