Dewey Edward Brown

Dewey Edward Brown, left this life to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025, he was 94 years and 7 months old.
He was born on July 31, 1930 to Rev. Andy and Sarah Brown of the upper Briar Creek Community in Williamsburg, KY.
Many great things will be said of Dewey Brown, but the most important being that he truly exemplified the beauty of a simple human heart, his kindness will not be forgotten, and will be remembered for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Darlene Lawson, Audella Johnson, and Beulah Smith; three brothers, John Brown, Bill Brown, and Don Brown.
He spent his life living alongside his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Garrett Brown, they had two children together, Phillip (Lisa) Brown, and Donna Ventura; three grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Kulinski, Heather (Jacob) Witcher, and Rachel Ventura; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Kulinski, and Greyson Kulinski.
Dewey Brown left Williamsburg to make a greater life for his family. He retired from Ford Motor Company after living in Michigan for 42 years.
He retired back to Williamsburg for 25 years and the last nine years he resided with his daughter, Donna, in Sedalia, Missouri.
Other than his immediate family Dewey has a large group of loved ones that will mourn his passing.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Hillman of Waynesville, OH; two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Brown of Williamsburg, KY, and Doris Heyburch of Cincinnati, OH; a very special niece, Barbara Combs; and a special neighbor, Nancy Cox; a lot of nephews, nieces, and a host of great friends.
Many prayers should be said in the days to come for Dorothy and family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, at 2:00 PM at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Sester officiating.
Interment will be in New Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM until the funeral hour Saturday, March 8, at the funeral home.
He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.
