Doris Ann Ramalia, 73, of Bunker Hill Twp., MI, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Bethany House in Jackson, MI.

She was born on August 21, 1943 in Stockbridge, MI the daughter of Delmos and Elizabeth (Harper) May.

She had lived in the area all her life and was a member of the Mason Community Church. She worked in Dietary at Lansing General Hospital for years and then transferred to East Lansing Public Schools. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

On March 13, 1965 she married Gary Lee Ramalia in Stockbridge, and he survives. Also surviving are three children: Michele (Troy) Raymond of Dansville, Kimberly (Rodney) Reid of Kentucky, and Jody (Greg) Jones of Stockbridge; one brother, Ronald (Pamela) May, two sisters, Yvonne Bates and Charlene May, all of Jackson; seven grandchildren: Joshua Ramalia, Kristi (Zach) Bates, Jordan (Megan) Reid, Cody Raymond, Jacob Cupp, Cameron (Alana) Jones, and Natasha Siler; also nine great-grandchildren; her in-laws, William (Alice) Ramalia of Lake Orion, Eva (Donald) Brown of Dansville, and Sharon Corbeil of Eaton Rapids, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Alberta May, Genevieve May and Gerald May.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25, at 11 a.m. at the Mason Community Church with Pastor Steve Malson officiating.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason. Expression of sympathy can be made to the Bethany House Hospice.
