Doris Owens Clark, 91, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Baptist Health.
She was preceded in death by her parents R.J. Rowland and Gertie Buchanan Rowland; husbands Charles “Red” Owens and Earl Arthur Clark; and by three brothers and three sisters.She had been a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and was an avid reader and enjoyed her work.
She is survived by three children: Michael Owens (Coni), Vicki Rich (Ted), and Bob Owens (Donna); two stepsons: Edwin Clark (Cheryl) and Tyler Clark (Sharon); two sisters; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and by numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday, December 3, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. A private burial was held in Jellico Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
