dorothy-powersDorothy Marie Powers, 63, of Rocksprings Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

She was born on October 18, 1952 in Whitley County, to the late John “J.C.” Siler and Ellen (Croley) Siler.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sharp and three brothers, Jessie Siler, Morris Siler and Vincent Siler.

Dorothy was a member of Gatliff Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Gene Powers of Williamsburg; daughter, Sandy Harp (Troy) of Williamsburg; son, Jimmy Dale Sawyers of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Justin Powers, Timothy Powers and Angel Rhoades of Williamsburg; one great-granddaughter, Emma Rhoades; three sisters, Helen Wilson (Reuben) and Donna Cox (Junior) of Williamsburg and Betty Willhite of Ohio; five brothers, Carl Siler of Ohio, Ricky Siler (Danette) of Williamsburg, Frankie Siler (Betty) of Kentucky, Johnny Siler of Williamsburg and Eddie Siler (Debbie) of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held October 2, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.

She was laid to rest in the General Powers Cemetery on Powers Mountain.
