Earl Struggs Rains

Earl Struggs Rains, a beloved resident of Williamsburg, KY, passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on July 3, 1951, in Williamsburg, Earl spent his life in the heart of Kentucky, working in the logging industry. He was known for his love of the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Earl’s dedication to his family and his passion for nature will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Earl is survived by his loving children, Travis Rains and wife Rebecca of Barbourville, KY and Cody Rains of Williamsburg, KY; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Madilyn Rains and Owen Rains.
He also leaves behind his sister, Ella Mullis of Williamsburg, KY; and his brother, Donnie “Moose” Rains and his wife Freda of Williamsburg, KY, and his brother Bill Rains of Williamsburg, KY.
Earl shared many years of his life with Connie Rains, the mother of his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Illa Rain; and his siblings, Charles, Jamie, Toby, Tommy, and Skeeter Rains, and his sister Georgia Sawyer; and the mother of Travis and Cody Connie Rains.
Funeral service was Friday, October 30, with Rev. Matt Rose officiating.
Burial followed at the Rains Family cemetery in Siler Kentucky.
