Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Maxine Parks) Eckert, of Corbin, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on August 21, 2009 in Palm Springs, Calif., where they were married in 1959.
After retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1970, Bob and Maxine moved to Corbin, Ky. where they are active members of Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church.
They have two daughters, Laura Tucker and Patty Miller, and 10 grandchildren, all of Corbin
