Edgar Long, 81, of Elk Valley, TN passed away January 23, 2018 at his home.
He was born October 20, 1936 in Pioneer, TN.
Edgar is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Bertha Morgan Long; brothers, Arlie Long, Lansford Long, Leonard Long, William Long, Francis Long; sisters, Pearl Botts, Goldie Feldman.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Baird Long; daughters, Michele Lay and husband Gilbert, Annette Rigney and husband Buck, Jill Long; grandchildren, Aaron Lay, Josh Lay and wife Amanda, Leann Williams and husband Eric; two great grandchildren; brothers, Oscar Long, Lloyd Long, Robert Long; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
The funeral was held Friday, January 26 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Hunley officiating.
Burial was held Saturday, January 27, in the Baird Cemetery (Elk Fork Road).
Military Honors were presented by The American Legion, Arlie Long Post 1540
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.
