Elizabeth Brummett, age 94, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Baptist Health Corbin.
She was born January 19, 1930 in Whitley County, KY, to the late Jim Matt and Ethel Smith Taylor.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Thomas, Irene Ball, Kathleen Thomas; five brothers, Estel Taylor, Earl Taylor, TB Taylor, Junior Taylor, and Arnold Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Popcorn” Brummett of Williamsburg, KY; one daughter, Myra Grayson (Larry) of Farragut, TN; one grandchild, Chad Rose (Carrie) of Auburn, AL; one great-grandson, Ezra Michael Rose; one sister, Wanda Kiser (Rev. Charles) of Elizabethtown, KY; brother-in-law, Clyde Brummett (Wilma) of Somerset, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 19, at the Highland Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Lowrie officiating.
Interment followed at the graveside service.
