Escapees caught after police chase

NEW Michael Mayes MUGJustin Jaynes MUGTwo inmates are being held in the Clinton County, Tennessee Jail where they arrested after escaping from a work detail at the state highway garage in Williamsburg Monday.
23-year-old Justin G. Jaynes and 24-year-old Michael I. Mayes reportedly drove off in a pickup truck about 3 p.m.

“They were back at the garage awaiting transport back to the jail,” said Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird. “At some point, Jaynes and Mayes wandered outside and found the state truck with the keys still in it, jumped in and drove off.”
