w-evelyn-stricklandEvelyn Marie Strickland, 61, of New Zion Road, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her home.

She was born on February 23, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Don Rawlins and Pearl (Stevens) Rawlins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Rawlins and Jay Rawlins..

She is survived by her husband, Jim Strickland of Williamsburg; two children, Katherine Spencer and husband William of Rockholds and James Strickland II (Michelle Freehling) of Williamsburg; six grandchildren, Ashley Hendrickson, Josh Spencer, Chelsea Evans, Loraze Freehling Jr., Jake Strickland and Zachery Strickland; five great-grandchildren, Logan Spencer, Elizabeth Spencer, Isaiah Spencer, Chloe Evans and Jamie Evans; two sisters,  Lavon Martin of Cincinnati, OH, and Donna Dees of Milford, OH; three brothers, Harlan Rawlins of Mt. Orb, OH, Donald Rawlins of Hillsboro, OH and John Rawlins of Milford, OH; and host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 12, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Hendrickson II officiating.
