Fannie Katherine Collette, born June 2, 1937 at Asher, Kentucky, the daughter of the late, Alex Brock and the late, Lily Ethel Hall.
Fannie passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at her residence in Corbin, Kentucky.
Fannie was 85 years old. She had been a resident of Corbin for the past 38 years.
She was a loving homemaker. Fannie was a member of the Little Community Church and Freewill Church of God in Corbin, KY.
Fannie enjoyed cooking, quilting, spending time with her family and above all was a great prayer warrior.
Fannie was preceded in death by her beloved parents; loving and devoted husband, Walter Collette; cherished son, Ernest Collette; infant brother, Theo and brother, Jimmy Brock.
She leaves the following relatives surviving, three cherished sons, Johnny Collette and Vicky, Corbin, KY, Jackie Collette and Bonnie, Corbin, KY and James David Collette and Phyllis, Corbin, KY; four brothers, Walter D. Brock and Renee, Williamsburg, KY, George Brock, Corbin, KY, Alex Jr. Brock and Kathy, Corbin, KY. and Felix Brock, Corbin, KY; three sisters, Carolyn Sue Brock, Corbin, KY., Shelby Jean Nolan and A.D., London, KY. and Linda May Morgan and Ralph, Corbin, KY; eight treasured grandchildren, Keisha Brooks, Jessica Collette, John Thomas, Angela Collette, Ashley Atkins, Ashley, Christina Davis, David Shane Collette and Montana Collette; and a host of treasured great-grandchildren and three treasured great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends survive.
Funeral service was Sunday, April 23, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, in Hyden, KY. with Rev. Eugene “Friday” Roberts and Rev. Ralph Brown officiating.
Interment was in the Brock Family Cemetery, in Mozelle, KY.
Pallbearers were Sam Brown, George Neal, John Thomas, Montana Collette, Hayden Frechette, Jesse Moore, and George Neal.
