The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday that a traffic collision on US 25W has resulted in loss of life.
Earlier this afternoon, the Sheriff’s Department made a post on their official Facebook page, stating, “Due to a fatality collision being investigated by the Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Branch, US 25 at Angel Road (Near Prewitt”s Feed and Supply) will be closed at this location. Please use alternative routes such as KY 836 and KY 204 West to KY 511. Please use caution in this area. The closure is anticipated to last until 4 PM today, Thursday April 27th.”
No other details are known at this time, but a KSP spokesperson has said that officials are continuing to investigate the accident, and that additional information will be released soon.
