Fine Arts Association of SEKY presenting Louisville Orchestra live at Corbin Arena

Date:

It’s not every day that a Grammy award winner plays in Corbin, but that will be the case next Tuesday, Feb. 27, when the Louisville Orchestra brings its In Harmony Tour to the Arena for a special free event.

The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky presents the Louisville Orchestra, along with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper live in concert next Tuesday evening. Their upcoming appearance presents music aficionados in the area with a unique opportunity to hear a truly world-class orchestra that is led by conductor Teddy Abrams.

Abrams and the Louisville Orchestra recently won a Grammy award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo for a collaboration with pianist Yuja Wang. This was a first-time achievement for the group.

Those in attendance at the Corbin Arena on Feb. 27 will be treated to two world premieres, as two members of the Louisville Orchestra’s Creators Corps will be debuting compositions. Those world premieres will include “Unstrung” by composer Alex Berko and “Back At It” by Tanner Porter.
