Floyd “Buck” Rigney, Jr., age 83, of the Wooldridge Community of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his home. He was born June 17, 1942 in Newcomb, Tennessee.
Buck is preceded in death by father, Floyd Rigney, Sr.; mother, Essie Mildred (Cummins) Rigney; brother, James Freddie Rigney; and sister, Janet Sue Crass.
He is survived by wife, Annette (Long) Rigney; daughters, Leann Williams, Michele Langevin and husband David; sister, Sandra Kidd and husband Roy; sisters-in-law, Michele Long and husband Gilbert, Jill Long; nephews, Aaron Lay, Josh Lay, David Kidd and wife Megan, Mark Crass and wife Joy, Curt Rigney and wife Kristie; niece, Julie Voudrie; great-nephews and niece, Harvey Jackson Lay, Nevaeh Grace Lay, Levi Kidd, and Lincoln Kidd; and a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 7, Harp Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services at 8 pm with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating.
Burial will be 11 am on Wednesday, October 8, at Douglas Cemetery in the Wooldridge community.
Military honors will be conducted by the Jellico Honor Guard.
