Former Corbin High School golf coach Brad Harris hosting annual camp for junior golfers

Date:

Former Corbin High School golf coach Brad Harris is presenting his annual junior golf camp at the Better Golf Practice Place driving range and putt-putt course in Lily. This is the camp’s fourth year, and the second year at this location.

There are four sessions to choose from. Session one is already in progress, and will conclude on Thursday, June 18. Session two will run from June 22-25, session three will run from June 29-July 2 and session four will run from July 6-9.  Instruction will take place from 10:00 a.m. to noon each day.

Boys and girls ages 5-14 can bring their own equipment to the camp, or equipment will be provided for them if need be. Campers can participate in as many or as few sessions as they would like. The goal is to help them learn how to play, while also promoting golf as a fun and rewarding activity to participate in.

Harris will be providing overall instruction in the basic fundamentals of the game, but he will also ask campers to perform some individual tasks depending on their experience level. There will be chances to win prizes throughout the week.

Cost of the camp is $190, and $170 for each additional camper. All participants will receive a t-shirt. For more information, call 606-620-3025 or e-mail bradharrisgolf@gmail.com.
