Former local police officer takes plea deal in federal meth case

A former police officer pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offence Tuesday.
