Franklin Delano Cox Jr., age 62, of Kensee Hollow Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. He was born on March 9, 1958 in Newark, Delaware to Franklin D. Cox Sr. and Joan (Wallace) Cox. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Delano Cox, Sr.

Frank was a volunteer fireman with the South Whitley Fire Department for over 10 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during Vietnam as a flight mechanic. He lived to ride his motorcycle. He was a firearms enthusiast, an outdoor man and a member of the Patriot Guard.

He is survived by three children, Franklin Delano Cox III of Williamsburg, Barbara Joan Cox of Williamsburg and Nicole Cox of Wilmington, Delaware; grandson, Jackson Black Montgomery of Williamsburg; mother, Joan Wallace Cox of Newark, Delaware; sister, Mary Robertson (Lynn) of Newark, Delaware; niece and nephews, Mary Beth Smart, Tony Swarbrick and Joey Swarbrick; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, at the Kensee Baptist Church Cemetery.

A Military Graveside Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 6, at the Kensee Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Jellico American Legion Honor Guard.
