Garrett Mullis, 68, of South Second Street, Williamsburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at his home.

He was born on March 14, 1949 in Whitley County, to the late William Ray Mullis Sr. and Lola (Croley) Mullis.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Mae Mullis; a sister, Claudia White and brothers, William Ray Mullis Jr. and Earl Mullis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vergie (Powers) Mullis; three children, Patricia Mullis, Garrett Dewayne Mullis, all of Williamsburg and Roy Lee Mullis of Florida; twelve grandchildren, Paige, Jasmine, Chance, Sebastian, Christopher, Courtni, Maelie, Rose, Autumn, Lily, Hailey and Harley; seven great-grandchildren, Trenten, Mackenzie, Keaten, Serinity, Aubree, Harper and Levi; one brother, Arvill Wayne Mullis (Ebie) of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Faye White (Jody), Mildred Rainwater and Gladys White, all of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews:  and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, March 18, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Littlejohn and Dr. Glenn Reeves officiating.

He was laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery.
