Geneva Manes Rhodes, 70, of Highway 92 East, Siler, departed this life on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at her home.

She was born on June 12, 1946 in Whitley County, to the late Joe Manes and Mary Elizabeth (Peace) Manes.

She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Charles Rhodes Jr.; sisters, Jessie Fuson, Jimmie Manes, Loretta Manes and Persetta Manes; and brothers, Lloyd Manes, Hobert Manes, Toby Manes and Junior Manes.

She is survived by her husband, R.C. Rhodes of Siler; one son, Rev. Paul Rhodes (Kristy) of Siler; two grandchildren, Roy Joe Rhodes and Megan Jo Rhodes of Siler; two sisters, Joie Lee of Siler and Fetta Renfro of Goodlettsville, TN ; one brother, Tommy Manes (Shirley) of Siler; nine nieces, Lisa Pyle of Goodlettsville, TN,  Maryetta Shelton of Corbin, Jody Hill of Corbin, Kelly Anderson of Corbin, Teddie Silcox of Jellico, TN, Jimmy Rhoades of Wofford, Pam Moore of Loveland, OH, Diane Mason of Loveland, OH and Misty Manes of Loveland, OH; eight nephews, Joe Manes of Loveland, OH, Gary Manes of Loveland, OH, Roger Manes of Loveland, OH, Ronnie Manes of Williamsburg, Johnny Manes of Corbin, Randy Manes of Williamsburg, Joe Fuson of Williamsburg and Terry Manes of Siler; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Monday, October 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Bunch officiating. She was laid to rest in the Rhodes Cemetery in Siler.
