George Leach, age 87, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born August 26, 1937 in Harlan County, KY, to the late George Washington and Laura Estil Peace Leach.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Dayle Leach; step-son, Darren Centers; step-daughter, Darla Partin; son-in-law, Rodney Tucker; two sisters, Diana Star Leach, and Dessie Mills; two brothers, Fleam Leach, and Sill Leach; two sisters-in-law, Georgie Leach, and Nellie Leach; five brothers-in-law, James Mills, Charles Estes, Maurice (Dude) Hollaway, Edward Adkins, and Daniel Adkins.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Leach of Williamsburg, KY; two children/grandchildren, Jaxsen Leach of Williamsburg, KY, Riley Centers of Williamsburg, KY; three step-children, Darryl Centers (Dana) of Williamsburg, KY, Tammy Cox (Bill) of Richmond, KY, and Shonda Tucker of Williamsburg, KY; son-in-law, Terry Partin (Cordia) of Williamsburg, KY; four grandchildren, Nathan Centers (Courtney), Miciah Evans (Kelly), Emily Nichols (Josh), Morgan Cox; eight great-grandchildren, Asher Centers, Jonah Centers, Jude Centers, Kayleigh Evans, Kelsey Evans, Rowdy Nichols, Rage Nichols, Isabella Centers; four sisters, Ruby Estes, Ruth Hollaway, Shirley Adkins, and Rose Adkins; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Saturday, February 8, at the Mountain Ash Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Carpenter and Rev. Bill Woodward officiating.
Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery Moses Addition.
