George S. “G.V.” Hill

Rev. George S. “G.V.” Hill, 74, of Mahan Road, Siler, departed this life on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

He was born on June 18, 1944 in Siler, to the late Luther Lawrence Hill and Charlene (Lawson) Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Hill of Siler; four children, George Hill Jr. (Sue) of Dandridge, TN, Debra Griffith (Darren) of Corbin, Brenda Feldman (Rob) of Talbott, TN and Matthew Ward of Novi, MI; nine grandchildren, Kelli (Josh), Allen, Chelsea (Matt), Mariah (James), Cameron (Faith), Zachary, Kayleigh, Lucas and Jayce; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, James Hill (Ethel) of Southgate, MI and Harold Hill of Williamsburg; mother of his children, Barb Hill of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Croley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.

Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Lawson Cemetery on Harps Creek in Siler.
