George Womble, 83, of Duff, TN passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Beech Tree Manor in Jellico.
He was born March 20, 1934 in Habersham.
George is preceded in death by father, Andrew David Womble; mother, Caroline Malicoat Womble; brothers, Ted, Robert, Charles and Winston “Buck” Womble; sisters, Hazel Wall, and Louise Miller.
He is survived by brother Dock Womble and wife Gail; sisters, Nellie Carr, Ellie Tucker, Lassie Womble Headley, Willie Conley and husband David; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 17, in the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James “Jimbo” Bolton and Brother Clyde Davis officiating.
Burial will be held Wednesday, January 18, at 10 a.m. in the Oddfellow Cemetery.
The family ask that donations be made to Harp Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of arrangements.
