Glenn Lawson, born July 23, 1960, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away on October 31, 2024.
He resided in Rockholds, Kentucky and was a hard-working heavy equipment operator for the coal industry. Known for his love of mules and wagon riding, Glenn had a passion for his garden and was a dedicated member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church. As a devoted father, brother, and grandparent, Glenn’s love and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
Glenn is survived by his daughter, Kayla Diamond and her husband Codi; his son, Kyle Hart and his wife Brittany; his grandchildren, Koda, Kaden, and Cora Diamond, Chiara, Joseph, Chloe, Kinley, and Judah Martinez, and Kiah Hart. He is also survived by his sister, Jennie Mills and her husband Darrell; his brothers, Justin and Trenton Lawson; and his niece and nephew, Brittany Vandecar and Jonathan Lawson. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl (Mackey) Lawson; his brothers, David, Eugene, and Hershal Lawson; and his grandmother, Hettie Mackey.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, at 1:00 pm at Flat Creek Baptist Church, located at Flat Creek Road, Rockholds, Kentucky, with Rev. Bart Smith officiating.
Following the service, the burial will take place at 2:30 pm at the Lawson – McKeehan Cemetery located at Meadow Creek Road, Rockholds, Kentucky.
As we remember Glenn, we are reminded of the verse in the Bible that says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).
We encourage family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Glenn to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. These shared memories will serve as a comforting reminder of the legacy Glenn leaves behind. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
