Going out on a high note: Gibson’s Music closing its doors after 54 years

Gibson’s Music. After over 50 years, it is difficult to imagine a downtown Corbin that doesn’t include Betty Comer’s music store on Main Street. That will be the reality as of next month, however, as the longtime shop owner has announced that she is singing her swan song, and the curtain is about to come down on one of the community’s most well-known, and beloved, businesses.
