Head-on collision involves pair of SUVs

Date:

Williamsburg firefighters were called to U.S. 25W near Exit 15 Saturday night in response to a head-on collision involving two SUV’s.

Chief Larry Todd said the crash occurred when one of the SUVs attempted to turn onto the interstate.

Todd said firefighters had to stabilize and extricate three people who were then transported to Baptist Health Corbin and St. Joseph London.

“The SUV that turned was being driven by a teen who was learning how to drive,” Todd said.

The names of the patients have not been released.
