High School Football Results – 8/21

Date:

The time for talk ended Friday evening when the kickoff to the 2015 high school football season finally arrived.

The Corbin Redhounds made their way south to Williamsburg for a highly anticipated opening week matchup against the Whitley County Colonels. A massive crowd was on hand to watch these two teams do battle for the first time in 30 years, and when all was said and done it was Corbin who started out their season 1-0 with a 35-14 victory.

The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets and the Lynn Camp Wildcats were both on the road to open up their seasons, with the Jackets traveling to face Lexington Christian and the Cats traveling to square off against Perry County Central. It was a bad night for both squads, unfortunately. Williamsburg fell 51-0 to the Eagles and Lynn Camp fell 40-0 to the Commodores.
