The Whitley County Colonels have now won five games in a row, improving to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in district play when they were able to hang on and defeat the North Laurel Jaguars in London Friday by the final score of 23-22. Next up for the Colonels will be a home game against the Perry County Central Commodores on Friday, October 7.

The Lynn Camp Wildcats also extended their win streak Friday, defeating visiting Clinton County 41-32 to secure their sixth victory in a row and improve them to 6-1 on the season. Next week, the Cats will open up district play with another home game against Pineville.

And the Corbin Redhounds made easy work of the Jackson County Generals on homecoming night, winning 64-8 to improve their overall record to 6-1, 1-0 in district play. The Hounds will get the week off next week before hosting Bell County on Friday, October 14.
