Intermittent Rolling Roadblocks Scheduled for I-75 (Northbound and Southbound) beginning tonight in Laurel/Whitley Counties

Date:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 11 advises motorists that intermittent rolling roadblocks will be in effect beginning Tuesday, January 20 at 9 p.m. until Wednesday, January 21 at 6 a.m. on Interstate 75 in Laurel/Whitley Counties to allow crews to set bridge beams.

The rolling roadblocks will take place:

  • Southbound I-75 beginning at Exit 29
  • Northbound I-75 beginning at Exit 25
  • From 9:00 p.m. (Tuesday, January 20) through 6:00 a.m. (Wednesday, Jan. 21)

The intermittent rolling roadblocks are necessary to allow crews to offload and set bridge beams for the ongoing I-75 widening project.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, use caution during this period and be aware of signage, road crews and other drivers.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their own reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
