Investigation into death of Michael Sasser continues

 An investigation into the death of Michael Sasser, 50, from Laurel County is currently ongoing by Laurel County’s coroner Doug Bowling and Sheriff’s Detective Daryl Zanet.

 Sasser’s body was found at his rented mobile home Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. on Blue Sky Lane, about seven miles south of London in the Campground community.

 Initial reports gave no reason to expect foul play was involved.

 An autopsy was scheduled to take place Wednesday in Frankfort. 

 Bowling pronounced Sasser dead at the scene Tuesday.

 Sheriff John Root and deputies Chief Eddy Sizemore, Sgt. Greg Poynter, deputy James Sizemore, detective Tommy Johnston, detective Charlie Loomis, and detective Billy Madden assisted Zanet on the scene.
