‘It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how’ – Dr. Seuss

Date:

Students at Williamsburg Independent School had the opportunity to meet their favorite Dr. Seuss characters on March 3. As part of the Read Across America celebration, the Williamsburg Family Resource and Youth Service Center, Gear-Up and Save the Children collaborated to create a Drive Thru for students to meet Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2. The event also served as a celebration for Dr. Seuss’s birthday, which was on March 2. Students who participated received a goody bag with a book, take home activities, snacks and more.
