James Alfred Sharp II

James Alfred Sharp II, affectionately known as “Brother,” went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 17, 1943, to James Alfred Sharp and Opal Ruth (Silcox) Sharp, James lived a life marked by devotion to his family, friends, and faith.
James was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his cherished grandson, Nathaniel James Sharp.
His legacy continues through his devoted son, James Alfred Sharp III, and daughter-in-law, Eileen (Lapak) Sharp. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, J.R. Sharp and Patrice Sharp, as well as a host of extended family and friends who mourn his passing and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.
Known for his warmth, wisdom, and humor, James touched the hearts of all who knew him. Family gatherings, shared stories, and steadfast support were hallmarks of his life. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by everyone, fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.
The family wishes to thank all those who have offered prayers, love, and support during this time of loss. While James may have departed from this world, the love and memories he leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
A graveside memorial service at Pleasant View Cemetery is planned for 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 23, with rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
