James “JJ” Edward Johnson

James “JJ” Edward Johnson, age 53, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his home. He was born April 14, 1969, in LaFollette, Tennessee.
He is preceded in death by his father, Murphy Lee York; grandmother, Ola Mae Johnson; uncle, Robert Johnson and wife Vivian; cousin, BJ Johnson; brother-in-law, Dewey Chambers; father and mother-in-law, Eddie and Geraldine “Joy” Coffey.
He is survived by sons, Nicholas Edward Johnson, Dustin James “Doc” Johnson and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Adalynn and Gracie Johnson; mother, Mary (Johnson) Overton and husband Bobby; brothers, Michael Johnson, and Tracy Johnson; sisters, Ola Darlene “Bug” Johnson, Stacy “Sis” Johnson and David Conn; girlfriend, Debra Davis; special friend, Kathy Simpkins; mother of his children, Julia Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm on Thursday December 1, at Harp Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 7 pm on Thursday, December 1 with Rev. Junior Dople and Rev. Little John officiating.
Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, December 2, in the Greenlee Cemetery
Harp Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
