James Riley Bowman, age 81, of Franklin, OH, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Majestic Care of Middletown, OH.
He was born December 21, 1939 in Whitley County, KY to the late Brooks and Joy Gibson Bowman. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Bowman, and Blaine Bowman; and one sister, Elizabeth Bowman.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served eight years and worked for the city of Franklin, OH for over 27 years.
He is survived by five children, Tonya Reynolds (Craig) of Southport, NC, Christina Johnson (Jeff) of Middleton, OH, Riley Bowman of Franklin, OH, Jamie Bowman (Bekah) of Franklin, OH, and Sarah Bowman of Franklin, OH; five grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Shelby Reynolds, Bryson Bowman, Lucy Bowman, and Riley Bowman, Jr; two sisters, Margaret Faul of Milford, OH, and Brenda Sharpe of Williamsburg, KY; three brothers, Jess Bowman of Xenia, OH, Ronnie Bowman (Brenda) of Williamsburg, KY, and G. B. Bowman (Carolyn) of Williamsburg, KY; the mother of his children, Faye Bowman of Franklin, OH; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Tuesday, November 23, at Ellison Funeral Home with Pastor, Hadyn Murphy officiating.
Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery Moses Addition.
