James Walter Francis, 79, of Corbin, passed away on Friday March 3, 2017 at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation.
He was a disabled veteran of the US Navy having served in Korea. While in Corbin he was an active volunteer with Corbin Senior Citizen.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Emily Francis.
He is survived by his many friends at the Corbin Senior Citizens and at Baptist Housing in Corbin.
Funeral service for James Francis was held Tuesday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post #88 in Corbin.
