Jeffery Allen Cummings, age 62, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born September 9, 1962, in Jellico, Tennessee.
Jeff was an all-around great guy, that was loved by everyone. He was a born-again Christian that loved the Lord. He loved his family, friends and especially his grandkids. He worked for Firestone Industrial Products for over 30 years. He had a great passion for fishing, and he bled Tennessee orange. He lived by The Creed, “Jesus is my boss”.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy A. Cummings; mother, Shirley (Cox) Cummings; nephew, Kenneth “Rooster” Young; mother-in-law, Betty Williams; father-in-law, Carl R. Elliott; uncle, Charles “Pete” Blankenship; and his beloved poodle, Smokey.
He is survived by fiancée, Rebecca Elliott of Jellico; sister, Hellen Moore (EJ) of Jellico; son, Michael Goins (Lisa) of Knoxville; grandchildren, Danielle Cloud (Logan), Danny Cloud, Jay Cloud (Neely), Hanna Goins, and Ethan Goins; great-grandson, Madden; nephews, Stephen Young (Christin), and Adam Young (Chrissy); brother-in-law, Carl Elliott, Jr. (Candy); sister-in-law, Debbie Elliott; uncles, Dillard Christian, and Claude Cox (Ruth); aunt, Janice Chapman (George); his extended brothers, Ron Thompson, Donald Broadwell, Duane Douglas, Rick Cox, and Brian “Hammer” Smiddy; and a multitude of friends to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 28, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel, with funeral services at 8 pm with Rev. Carl Elliott, Jr. and Rev. John Loudin officiating.
Burial will be at 2 pm on Saturday, March 1, in the Bell’s Campground Cemetery, located at 7920 Bell Campground Rd. in Powell, TN.
