Jellico Police discover Suboxone, Neurontin while attempting to serve arrest warrant

Date:

Jellico Police’s attempt to serve an arrest warrant on a woman Friday resulted in additional charges after officers located Suboxone and Neurontin.

Evette Marie Zehr was charged with possession of Schedule III drugs (Suboxone), possession of Schedule IV drugs (Neurontin) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, Captain Thomas Lay located Zehr while patrolling along North Main Street and stopped her, knowing that she had an outstanding warrant.

“Zehr was in possession of a loaded and ready to inject hypodermic syringe loaded with Suboxone and also had Neurontin on her person,” stated Jellico Police Chief Gary Perkins.

The warrant stemmed from an investigation by Jellico Police into the theft of property from Sun Gypsy Boutique on December 11.

Zehr was lodged in the Campbell County Detention Center.
