Jennings Hurshel “Doc” Hash

Jennings Hurshel “Doc” Hash was born April 1, 1927 in Corbin, KY to the late Robert and Eliza Whitus Hash.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving as MP in the United States Army. He retired from CSX after 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Hazel Ellison Hash; brothers Billy Joe, Robert “Bob”, and John Hash; and sisters Judy Murphy, Kathleen “Kitty” Conner, Phyllis Goodin, and Muriel Hash.

He is survived by his children, Kathy White, James Hash (Linda), and Elizabeth Durr (Tom); grandchildren, Rachel Buffin (Kelly), Krystal Baker (Jason), Joe Hash (Becky), Greg White, and Julie Moses (Dustin); great-grandchildren, Vivian and Madelyn Buffin, Savannah and Shelby Wilson, Jonathan Taylor, Beau, Carter, and Chloie Hash, Taylor and Gage White, Brady and Mayley Helton, and Alexis Moses; sisters, Helen Blish and Janie Davis; sister-in-law, Helen Hash; and numerous family members and friends.

He departed this life March 18, 2019 in Ohio.

Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home is in charge of the graveside memorial service which will be held at the Worley Cemetery in Corbin, on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10 a.m.
