Jessie Marie Cloyd, transformed from this life on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
She was born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on November 10, 1938 to the late Robert and Irene Mays Parker.
Jessie spent her career working with her husband and raising her children.
She was a loving and compassionate person who worked tirelessly to assist anyone in need. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Corbin, and loved cooking, gardening, and shopping with her friends. Jessie had a vivacious personality and an infectious smile.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Billy Parker.
Jessie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack T. Cloyd; son, Mike Cloyd (Donna); daughter, Kim Cloyd Stowers (Steve); sisters, Judy Gay (Bert), and Joyce Felts; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was like sunshine on a cloudy day and so full of life.
Visitation for Jessie Cloyd will be from 11 am until 1 pm on Friday, May 12, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Phil Majors officiating.
Burial will follow in the A.R. Dyche Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
