Jewel Dean Farmer,

Date:

Jewel Dean Farmer, a loving and funny soul, departed this life on September 13, 2025, just shy of her 71st birthday.
Born in Whitley County, KY on February 6, 1955, Jewell was a ray of sunshine in the lives of many.
She spent her life in Corbin, KY, where she was known for her infectious laughter and unending love for her family. Jewel was a lady of many passions, all of which centered around her love for people and her fondness for laughter. Her jovial spirit was best showcased during the many bingo games she partook of, a hobby that filled her heart with joy and her life with camaraderie.
Jewell is survived by her son, Timothy Howard Collins and his wife Lisa of Flatwoods, KY; her beloved granddaughter, Kaeli Madison Ross of Flatwoods, KY; her brother, Paul Brown of Corbin, KY; and a special niece and nephew, Sandy Staton and husband Jake of Albany, KY, and Andy Collins of Corbin, KY. She also leaves behind a host of friends who, through tears and laughter, will continue to remember her loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Opal (Terrell) Pfoff; her brothers, Jimmy Smith and Bobby Smith; and her sisters, Carol Rose, Judy Collins, and Cleta Mae Pfoff.
As Victor Hugo once said, “To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life,” and indeed, Jewell’s life was a pearl of love and laughter.
The visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, KY, on Saturday, September 20, at 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 3:00 pm with Rev. Vernon Jones. Jewell will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 20, at 4:00 pm at the Terrell Murray Cemetery in Rockhold, KY. The family invites all to join them in celebrating Jewell’s life, remembering her laughter, and honoring her memory.
We encourage everyone to share their favorite memories of Jewell and upload photos to her memorial page. This will help keep the memory of her vibrant spirit alive and bring comfort to those mourning her passing.
